Tortuga Journals is a paper art studio based in San Antonio, TX, founded by artist and bookbinder, Christopher Ornelas. We make journals, host workshops and support local artisan economies. Our workshops are designed to give students a basic knowledge of bookbinding skills so that they can start making books on their own. Our goal is to inspire a love for the book arts in young people and adults.
