Ivy and the Wicker Suitcase
Ivy and the Wicker Suitcase is a surreal mythic musical audiodrama that comes in a fully illustrated book, featuring Daniel Johnston, Bill Callahan, Will Sheff, James Hand, K. McCarty, and starring Grace London as Ivy Wire. It’s a story about a 10 year old girl in Austin in 1938 who falls into the Underworld.
Brian Beattie wrote the story and music, and his wife, artist Valerie Fowler illustrated the book. They’re calling this dreamy low-tech multimedia masterpiece an “Illustrated Earmovie Musical”. It’s a children’s book for grown ups, an epic myth for kids, and a depression era musical for the new depression.

New Farm Institute
Austin Jewish Academy students created models and built a full size, functional chicken coop that houses 10-15 hens. The coop is created to be a working model that children can easily manage and maintain. Campers and students are responsible for moving our pastured chickens to new grazing areas and keeping chickens feed, watered, and happy.
