Little Herds

We’re eating bugs! Come learn about the food of the future, and maybe try your first bite of cricket cookie, with Little Herds. We’re educating the public about the nutritional and environmental benefits of farming insects, and showing how they can be used as a super-healthy flour that we can use for all sorts of wonderful foods we already know and love (like chocolate chip cookies).

With high amounts of protein, iron, calcium and other important vitamins and minerals; using less land, water, feed and energy than traditional meat sources; producing more food, faster, with less waste and greenhouse gas emissions; insects are all-around an incredible food resource that we’ve been ignoring!

We all know something has to change with our food system if we’re going to make sure that every child on the planet has healthy safe food to eat; what if the answer has been under our feet the entire time?

The R2-D2 Builders Club is an Internet fan based club with over 5000 members world wide. Using the web as a common means to gather information and share thoughts and ideas with one common goal… to build our very own life sized replica of an Astromech droid from the movie Star Wars.
