Raspberry Pi Intro Class – Adults and kids ages 13+

Raspberry Pi Intro Class – Adults and kids ages 13+
This isn’t your grandma’s Raspberry Pi! In this introductory class, you’ll learn how to control LEDs using the Raspberry Pi. We will code using the popular Python programming language.

The Raspberry Pi is a credit card-sized computer designed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation to teach kids computer programming. It can run a full Linux operating system. Many kids- as young as 8- have already created their first video games using the Pi! The Pi can also interact with things in the real world. Use a Raspberry Pi to sense when your plant needs water and then send you a reminder on Twitter. Create an automatic cat food feeder. The Raspberry Pi has even been launched into space to take pictures in near Earth orbit!

Use B.O.B to interact with the Raspberry Pi. Give into temptation and press all the buttons to your heart’s content! Each button press lets you interact directly with a Raspberry Pi to do… who knows what! (It’s probably something cool.)
