Part how to, and part adventures in the Dreamscape, I am excited to share techniques people can try out when they go home that night.

Robotics Fun and Games

Using some old toys and some craft supplies can be a fun way to create an interactive environment for programming robots! Some posterboards, construction paper, duct tape, and creativity can extend the learning with a robot like the Lego® Mindstorms or Tetrix. Robotics exposes students to science, technology, engineering, math, computer science and more. High school robotics programs even have UIL, scholarship, and internship opportunities. Have fun!

PlanHW

When, at the age of 12, Ben Aubin couldn’t find a homework planner that worked for him, he decided to create his own. Meet the award-winning planner, PlanHW: it understands natural language, so you can type in your homework just like you’d tell it to a human: “Math Packet due Friday.” Then, at the perfect time for you to start working on your homework, PlanHW will send you a reminder. Once you begin your assignment, PlanHW keeps track of the time you’ve spent and the time you have left until you finish, and when you finish, you get rewarded by sponsors.
