Legacy Early College High School Engineering

Legacy Early College High School Engineering is a program designed in partnership with The University Of Texas School of Engineering and NASA to educate young students on the principals of engineering design. Located in Taylor, Texas we are a small school of around 200 students and 13 faculty dedicated to higher education for high school students. The Engineering program is made of of 23 students who aspire to be engineers or scientists in the future. We incorporate needs and specifications to tackle challenging design projects, maximizing hands on experience and modern technology.

The Geekbus

The Geekbus is a mobile makerspace that travels to schools and other organizations to provide STEM educational experiences in their classrooms. Our goal is to spark students’ interests in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). With the explosive growth of STEM careers in San Antonio, our programs aim to inspire the next generation of local STEM talent, by focusing on schools and other educational programs that serve underserved populations.The Geekbus program is operated by SASTEMIC, a San Antonio nonprofit organization aimed at connecting education, business, industry and military to bolster the local STEM economy.

The Car With Ping Pong Balls

The Car With Ping Pong Balls on It was built simply to see what a car with ping pong balls on springs would look like driving down the street. The answer is that it looks stranger than you would imagine. The car is covered with about 400 springs from Deelly Boppers topped with ping pong balls. Need we say more?
