Austin IoT

The Austin IoT Meetup is a local meetup of professionals, enthusiasts, hackers, and makers who share enthusiasm for the Internet of Things space. We are a group of over 1600 individuals who meet regularly to build, hack, and talk about the latest trends in the IoT space. We regularly hold local and FREE workshops building projects on things like the Raspberry Pi, Particle Photon, ESP8266, Python, C/C++, NodeJS and many more technologies.

We are Austin creative technologists with a passion for sharing our experience and expertise with others. We will be offering 8-week and weekend workshops in tech art starting in September 2016. Our mission is to create educational opportunities, exhibitions, and community for Austinites creating at the intersection of art, design, and technology.

We are seeking to connect with potential students and instructors. We invite you to support us as we strive to keep Austin a culturally rich, artistic, and tech-savvy city.

With a little help from Griffin (from Griffin’s Workshop) we’ll take a tour of JWildfire and a quick look at Mandelbulb3D. Featured are examples of Tracy’s creations for the Round Rock 100 art project.

PCs for Me

PCs for Me is a company run by 13 year old maker Ethan Saadia. PCs for Me designs and sells kits and accessories for the Raspberry Pi, a computer the size of a credit card. We encourage both kids and adults to become makers and provide those already maker-savy with exciting new boards to play with.
